Our history
The program began years ago as Triple Play Fastpitch, establishing the foundation for the organization that followed.
The organization later became Lake Erie Vengeance, carrying that history forward under its current identity.
Today, the organization is built around its single current 16U team.

You do not need a perfect résumé or a complicated speech. You need a thoughtful school list, a clear introduction and the confidence to communicate as yourself. This guide walks you through it.
This directory was compiled from publicly listed college athletics staff information for 224 softball programs in seven nearby states. It groups schools by D1, D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO and includes conference, location, head coach and assistant coach contacts where publicly available.
Use it as a starting point, not a promise. Staff roles and contact details change. Before every important message, check the school’s official softball staff page.
Start with 20–30 schools rather than emailing all 224. Keep a simple spreadsheet with school, division, coach, academic fit, softball fit, date contacted, response, next step and notes. Rank your top 10, but keep options in every fit group.
A smaller, well-researched list beats a giant list of schools you know nothing about. Personal outreach shows coaches that you chose them for a reason.
Contact and response rules vary by division and change over time. Check the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA rules and each school’s process before you act.

[Phone] · [Email] · [Team/coach contact]
Email first unless a coach invited a call or the program clearly lists phone contact as the next step. Call during normal weekday daytime or early evening hours—not late at night, during games or repeatedly.
Coaches want: the player speaking for herself, academic honesty, current video, verified details, a clear schedule, specific interest in the school, prompt replies and respectful questions.
Avoid: mass emails with the wrong school name, exaggerated stats, giant attachments, nonstop “Did you see this?” messages, parents taking over, demanding an evaluation, vague “I’ll play anywhere” language or disappearing after a coach responds.
If there is no response, wait about 7–10 days and send one brief follow-up in the same email thread. After that, contact the coach when you have a meaningful update: a new schedule, stronger video, an academic achievement, a verified measurable or a requested form.
Do not send the same weekly check-in forever. Two thoughtful attempts plus real updates is persistent; daily or repeated messages with nothing new feels pushy.
Coaches are evaluating maturity as well as softball. The athlete should write the email, make the call, answer questions and say thank you. Parents can help research, proofread, track dates, discuss finances and join conversations when invited.
A parent should step in for financial, medical, safety or formal decision details—not to speak over the player or chase a coach for attention.
Within 24–48 hours, email the coach you met. Thank them, name one specific thing you learned or discussed, remind them of your position and grad year, and include your profile plus upcoming schedule. If they gave feedback, tell them how you will work on it.
A camp invitation is not automatically personal recruiting interest. Research the school and attend because the experience, coaching and program fit your goals—not only because an email arrived.
A coach may say the roster is full, your position is covered or the fit is not right. Reply once: thank them for the honesty, wish the program well and move forward. Do not argue or ask them to defend the decision.
Rejection is information, not a verdict on you. Update your target list, ask a trusted coach what to improve and keep contacting schools where your academics, softball and personality fit.
Before you press send: correct coach, correct school, specific reason, current links, accurate information, clean spelling and a clear next step. Your message should sound like you—not like a parent, template or sales pitch.
